A nice rib eye for two cost me $25 ( out of my budget). The peeled tenderloin is expensive, so if you can learn how to do it yourself, there are great videos on YouTube, then save a good chunk of change and buy a unpeeled one. Good for stews and BBQ. I don’t buy their HIGH, HIGH

I have had mixed results. Brisket is a cut that requires long cooking time.
Remember that because a single tri-tip is only 3-4 pounds, it will be cheaper … Most places are going to be several dollars more a pound. They kill over 2,000 head per day. Sometimes it is like a hit and miss game. Hi! Eating what’s in season is my jam (I also make it! I have grown up on a cattle farm all my life and i mean that born raised and water fed farm life, where we ate, what we grew and what we raised and we drank from a fresh spring well, only thing we bought was coffee sugar and coco, thats it everything was made from scratch,malo, butter ,mustard on and on…. But if you’re only cooking for a few people, you have to weigh the initial cost or cost of leftovers.

If you wanted to test the quality of choice vs. prime beef, top sirloin would be the way to go.
Tri tips cost about 8 dollars per pound, while beef briskets cost about 4 dollars per pound. ** Other cooking techniques are welcomed for when your cookin' in the kitchen. There are different grades of AAA beef here in Canada we get the best the od time they have prime but I can usually find a AAA with the same marbling, Today is my first time to try using the store meat guide hopefully it will work for us. Costco gets the highest quality beef. The under $7 a pound price is a good deal. Cost Differences In general a tri tip will cost about twice as much as a brisket on a per pound basis. Yes tri-tip is really easy because it is so quick, even at the 225 degree smoking temps (or lower). The best salts from Thrive Market include Redmond Real Salt, Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt, Maldon Sea Salt Flakes, and HimalaSalt Himalayan salt. Brisket. I was surprised to find so far its their best meat.
