Do you live there? We wanted peanutty peanut butter cookies with crisp edges and moist, chewy centers, but because peanut butter has a fair amount of starch, more peanut butter in the dough resulted in drier, more stunted cookies. Thank you so much, Laurie Ann!
Just substitute chunky for smooth 1:1 ratio, as the amount of nuts in chunky peanut butter are not significant enough to dramatically change the outcome of these cookies. It’s almost like a crackle cookie. Under-baking doesn’t mean the cookies aren’t done. Or 39,292,291? The baking time was perfect for a soft and chewy cookie. Few things I love about Austin more than that perfect muffin! I used to! Oh, do tell… I’d love to hear your stories!

But I know that it’s going to be totally different ball game when I get back to Singapore. – Use quality ingredients – a good butter can make a huge difference! Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all kinds of cookies: cut-out cookies, sugar coated cookies, etc., but sometimes, a cookie is just as good, scooped and baked plain.
